Hi, my name is

Luciano Bernal.

I solve complex problems and build useful tools.

I’m a cloud operations engineer specializing in enterprise application support, Linux troubleshooting, incident response, and internal tool development. At PTC, I support secure customer environments while building practical dashboards, scripts, and documentation that help my team work more efficiently.

About Me

I’m a cloud operations engineer with experience supporting enterprise applications in secure, Linux-based environments. At PTC, I provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Windchill, ThingWorx, PingFederate, and the infrastructure and integrations surrounding those platforms.

My work centers on troubleshooting customer incidents, restoring unavailable environments, analyzing application and system logs, and coordinating with database, security, networking, infrastructure, and application teams. During my 2025 performance review period, I restored every assigned Edown within four hours. My fourth-quarter metrics included an average case closure time of approximately two hours and an average total resolution time of under 24 hours.

I also build practical tools that improve how my team works. These include a searchable server dashboard designed for restricted jump-box environments, a Salesforce workload dashboard, and Bash and SQL scripts for login auditing. I have also created technical documentation and led training on tools such as tmux to help teammates work more effectively in constrained SSH environments.

Outside of work, I build web applications and systems-oriented projects using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and Linux. I’m most interested in work that combines technical troubleshooting, software development, and useful process improvement.

  • AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Python, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Node.js, React
  • Docker, Linux administration
  • PostgreSQL, Oracle Database
  • Incident response, automation

Where I’ve Worked

  • Restored 100% of assigned Edown incidents within four hours across three consecutive review quarters through rapid troubleshooting and cross-team coordination.
  • Maintained a two-hour average case closure time and sub-24-hour total resolution time during Q4 2025.
  • Improved case distribution by building a Salesforce dashboard that visualizes each engineer’s active workload.
  • Simplified infrastructure lookup by creating a searchable server dashboard that works within restricted jump-box environments.
  • Improved team productivity in FRM and IL5 environments by delivering tmux training and reusable documentation.
